Fall…In Love With These 5 Things To Do In Nashville
Things To Do In Nashville In The Fall
It was the ever illustrious F. Scott Fitzgerald who once said that “life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall.” Summer has quickly faded and with that, we say farewell to those lazy, sunny afternoons. October is finally here and it is time to load our calendars up with all of the fun things to do in Nashville and the surrounding areas and of course to eat all things pumpkin flavored.
There is no doubt that we love Nashville and think it is the best spot to indulge in all of your fall favorites. From pumpkin patches to getting a little bit ghoulish, we have created your ultimate fall in Nashville checklist.
Get Lost in a Corn Maze
Pack up the family or friends and head off to Honeysuckle Hill Farm, located just west of Nashville, for a day of fun and games. From pumpkin picking, petting farm, train rides and, of course, the main attraction, the corn maze, good times are sure to ensue. This year’s corn maze theme is “Charlie Brown 4 Prez” and features over 10 acres of “ah-MAZE-ing” fun (as the folks there like to call it). If you are looking for a little extra spooky fun, hit the maze after dark and find your way via moonlight.
We also heard that there is a special showing of It’s a Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown on October 22, so make sure to pack a blanket or some lawn chairs and your favorite fall snacks.
Take a Hike on the Volunteer Trail
Check out the fall foliage by hitting some local trails this autumnal season. The Volunteer Trail, located in Long Hunter State Park, minutes from downtown Nashville, offers the perfect backdrop for brightly colored leaves, wildlife spotting, and stunning views of the lake. The trail is an 11.4 mile moderately difficult, single use, out-and-back trail, or for those looking for a little less commitment, there is a 4 mile day loop hike. The trail is dog-friendly, but remember to keep them on a leash at all times.
Pick the Perfect Pumpkin
Carving pumpkins is a family friendly fun way to spend a crisp Sunday afternoon in the fall. But picking out the perfect carving pumpkin is essential. Head over to Fiddle Dee Farm to pick your perfect pumpkin at Pumpkin Town. Besides having a great selection, you can enjoy goofy pumpkin people, pumpkin decorating, tasty treats at the Butterstick Bakery, hayrides, and so much more!
